Has only one person posted about nasal trich?

by Olivia394, Sep 17, 2008 09:54AM
I am currently being treated for nasal trichomoniasis.  I was tested with special strips; vaginal swab was negative, however, nasal swab was positive.  Flagyl 2 Grams one-dose is how I am being treated.  Will re-test and take the Flagyl twice more or until clear.  Silly question, however, the research that I have done on the subject posts articles on nasal trich in birds, particularly Arab falcons, also pigeons, and was also found in the nasal sinuses, and digestive tracts of cows.  Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

Thanks,
Olivia

I fear you have had a false positive test. Nasal Trichomonas just doesn`t happen. And why would your Doctor order a nasal elisa test for Trich. ??. This test is notorious for a high false positive rate. Take care.

Hi, say what you will, but I was feeling fine with the medicine until I used the same nasal spray that I used when I first got sick with trich.  I feel like I sprayed that stuff right back into my face.   I read that you can catch hep with nasal sprays, you know if both people where bleeding or something.  Right temple is hurting and somtimes both, 5th day into my treatment and I feel like ****.

How can you be sure when the nasal spray was used when infected and then again after meds?   Maybe it can live on the tip or something?  I felt great, like I was getting better until I used my spray.  Going back to doctor tomorrow.
