Help, are my symptoms the initial signs of genital herpes?

Hello, I have recently had unprotected sex (yes I know very very stupid) and a few days ago I began to have a feeling of something sort of pinching my inside my vagina. Sometimes it feels like a sharp sting or pain and it also feels like a constant tingling sensation.  I am so scared that it could be herpes. I have made a doctors appt but its not until a few more days. The symptoms seem worse the more I think about it but I can not stop worrying!! If it is herpes how long after the first initial tingling sensation will the outbreak occur??
To make things even more complicated I recently experienced a miscarriage in the last couple of months in a very very early pregnancy. I bled a lot and my IUD that was in place actually came out. Not sure if that would have cause or have anything to do with my current symptoms but you never know....
