Help figure out where it came from :(

Me and my boyfriend have been together for about two years now. We are sexually active, we do occasionally have unprotected sex, yes I am on birth control. I had developed pain in my lower stomach, was dizzy and eye sight was messing with me. I had no other signs. I went to the doctors and my test had come back that I had clamydia.... Now we have been together almost 2 years . 1 year and 9 months. I found out these results in April. The doctor had told me I had it for a while because it had traveled into my tubes. I was really upset and depressed and I felt as if I was dirty and I thought everyone that looked at me knew... Anyways I have been faithful... 100%... However my mother did tell me only way to get the std was sexually... I did get tested while we was together before and I was clean... I don't want to think that he cheated.... I really don't. I talked to him about it and he says he has been faithful to me... I just really do love him... I don't want to think he cheated it would destroy me. Can someone please talk to me ... :(

I'm afraid it is likely your partner had other partners, for two main reasons. First, chlamydia rarely persists 2 years. It can happen, but usually the immune system generally clears it within a few months to a year. Second, when chlamydia causes PID (tube infection), it usually does it soon after it is caught, not months or years later.

There are exceptions and it is possible you've been infected a long time, so this is isn't proof he cheated. But it's the most likely explanation for all this.

U said before... as in before you two ever had sex or before wen yall had had sex but came back neg? Basically if u tested before yall EVER  had sex then he would have already had chymidia then giv to u .. but if wen u tested negative WAS AFTER  yall had already had unprotected sex..then that means u were clean then and if showed up in april then he cheated.. if too confusing then basically answer first question..

Well if you tested negative before while with him then the infection came from him. Could he have had it from before you were together yes. Could he have cheated...yes. No real way to say.
