Hepatitis B transmission

Hi,

I want to confirm that if I do protected intercourse with my hepatitis B infected partner, including unprotected annalingus, cunnilingus . Is there a chance that I can also get infected with hepatitis B?
I hear that condoms are also not 100% safe ; what does this mean ? Can I still get infected with hepatitis b even while performing condom-on intercourse ?

Regards,
leo
P.S: I am not sure about the topic so i chose HPV

No, I'm not a doctor - no one on this forum is.  I do have a lot of experience working in the std field, though.

If you have bleeding gums, you need to see your dentist, and it might be wise to avoid oral sex until they get better.

Protected intercourse will prevent Hep B transmission, and its said that condoms aren't 100% because they do break and can come off.

There is very little, if any, risk from unprotected oral sex.

Have you been vaccinated for hep b?  That would be my #1 recommendation.  You can see your doctor about that, or even an std clinic.

If you are in the US, then check with your local health dept as well.  If you aren't sure if you've been vaccinated (you might have been as a child), then a simple blood test will show whether you have been.
