Herpes/Infection?

by dbellar, Jul 06, 2009 03:24PM
Sometime in April, I lost my virginity to my then boyfriend.  I was forced into the sex and needless to say that's why he is no longer by boyfriend.  He did not use protection.  A couple weeks later, I felt this line of irritated skin extending from my vaginal opening up the interior part of my left lip towards my clitoris.  I examined myself in a mirror and it looks like a red line of irritated skin.  It's almost bump like but it's soft and when I stretch the skin, the raised skin disappears.  They started off incredibly itchy but the itch comes and goes.  My vaginal opening then began to itch.  There are no bumps there except for tiny tiny bumps I've had all of my life that are just a natural part of my anatomy.  I have a thick, white discharge that gives off no foul odor.  I've also had shooting pain in my rectal area at times as well as in my vulva.  But that, like the itch, comes and goes.  At first, I thought the irritated skin was an allergic reaction to the new pads I started using.  I tested that out by using one of the pads and it made the itch worse.  I switched to the old brand of pad I used and the itch subsided.  The irritated skin seemed to disappear and everything improved.  But then I got my period again, and it all came back.   I know that herpes are different for everyone and that the symptoms differ for every individual but this sounds like nothing I've read up on for herpes or anything.  It almost sounds like a mix of different things.

I'm going to make an appointment at a Planned Parenthood Clinic on Wednesday but I just need to know if anyone else has experienced this?

Going to PP to be fully tested is the best course of action.  This could be a std ( or several ) or it could be just irritation and a vaginitis going on ( yeast or bacterial ).  We'd just totally be guessing if we tried to tell you what is going on.

Herpes will not stick around this long without going away. since the encounter was forced and unprotected, be sure to ask for a type specific herpes igg blood test too.

Well it goes away for a couple of days intermittently but only a couple of days.  And it's never completely gone. The bumps just get smaller.
