Herpes Question

Is it true that a male can have an outbreak of herpes and not show any bumps or symptoms of it?? Because sometimes when I go down on my partner that has herpes I worry about getting herpes in the mouth, and he doesnt notice symptoms and I dont see any so is there a chance that he can still be having an outbreak?

You can still spread herpes without having any signs or symptoms, I personally don't recommend going down on him/having sex if you know he has herpes with out protection if you do not wish to contract it.

Yes but they say over and over the docs, NP's, people, etc. that hsv 2 prefers the genitals to the mouth and hsv 1 prefers the mouth so if You have hsv 1 genitally it will be less outbreaks than hsv 2 and vice versa. Hope this helps. take care, EB
