Herpes Test Scores

by wondering13, Jun 29, 2007 12:00AM
Tested for Herpes April-2005

HSV-1 IGG   2.32
HSV-2 IGG   13.14

Tested Again June-2007

HSV-1  IGG   1.58
HSV-2  IGG   0.08

Both tests done by my HMO

Can these tests be accurate?  Is answer simply repeat test?

I have never had an outbreak and wife of 40 years negative both types.

I'd retest again since the results for your tests have differed so much. I'd go with the herpes WB. Your doctor can find out what blood to draw and where to send it at http://depts.washington.edu/rspvirus/herpes.htm .

I just don't know about all these scores. My NP said either pos or neg never gave any numbers or anything. I never saw the actual test result. She gave me the results on the phone. thanks, EB
