The lesions around your nose sound suspicious for hsv1.
You can get a type specific herpes igg blood test to see what your hsv1 and hsv2 status is. Your other option is to get your next genital ob cultured for herpes and your next oral ob cultured too. You very well might have hsv1 orally and hsv2 genitally or just have hsv1 in both areas. The blood test will tell what you have - just not where you have it.
When you were first diagnosed as having genital herpes - had you had sex yet or just received oral sex?
