Herpes or yeast infection?

My penis head and foreskin are very red and painful. I have tiny red bumps all over the head, some which have tiny white heads, some which look like scabs. The white heads are solid white though, like a pimple, not like a blister, and they are very tiny. The skin is very dry and flaky. Around my inner thighs I have red bumps that look like pimples with small white heads too. I also have a red patch of very itchy skin on my scrotum, which has been re-occurring in the same place too. I've looked up pics online and it looks like balanitis, but the white heads, which I never got before, make me nervous.

I've showed this to docs in the past who said it was a yeast infection, and it has always cleared up with an anti-fungal, but I went to a new doc to get a swab done to make sure, and he said it was herpes. I have had this problem since before the last time I was tested negative for herpes, so I was doubtful, but he was certain it was. He took a swab and blood, but I have to wait until next week for the results.

Obviously the only way to know will be to wait, but I'm going crazy in the mean time. Are there any things I can look for that would help me distinguish between the two in the mean time? I can send a pic if anyone is an expert on this.
Thanks

Thanks. I REALLY hope so. I can't imagine how it could be herpes since I've been getting these since before I was last tested, and I was just on a couple courses of antibiotics, so it would make sense to get one. But this one was the worst I've had so far, and I've never had white bumps or bumps on my thighs either, so between that and the doc saying he was confident it was herpes, I am really nervous. I'm waiting on the tests, which I wont get until mid-week.

Hi, from what you describe, esp them having white heads, it would be as the doc suggests, a yeast/fungal infection as herpes are not white puss filled but clear liquid and also its rare to be on the head but more the shaft.
