High HSV-1 igG and low (but positive) HSV-2 igG

So I got my test results today:
Herpes Simplex Type 1/2
Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV) Types I and II Specific Antibodies, IgG (QHO)

HSV-1 aB IgG >5.00 H Reference <0.90 POSITIVE
HSV-2 aB IgG 2.12 H         Reference <0.90 POSITIVE

I had had a cold sore about a month ago due to some incredible stress. Now, the HSV-1 results says >5.00 (does the greater than sign mean that it is off the charts?). The HSV-2 results is just 2.12.

How accurate is the HSV-2 positive? Like most people, I've never had any symptoms, and I've never had sex without a condom.

The >5 reporting method doesn't mean you are off the charts. Some labs only report that way because there isn't any real reason to list any numerical result over 5.  A result of 5 or above is a sign of a well established infection and means it's not likely to be a false positive. You already knew you had hsv1 orally though so your hsv1 result being + is certainly no surprise I should hope.

Your hsv2 result is also +. do you have a history of any genital symptoms? Have you had a + lesion culture at all?  If not then you might want to do some confirmatory testing just to err on the side of caution.  Hsv2 results of 3.5 and under are sometimes false positives.  If your doctor uses quest labs you want the herpes inhibition assay test # 17170 to confirm your hsv2 result. If you've been diagnosed with genital herpes in the past then no reason to confirm it.  Hope that all makes sense.

Forgot to say that the cold sore two months ago was on my lower lip. The last time I've had a cold sore was probably 5 years before that.
