How did I get Trich

I went to my doctor today after suffering from odor and discharge for about 7 months and was diagnosed with trich by culture. I have been dating my current boyfriend for about nine months and have not had any other sexual partners and he says that neither has he. Is it possible that Trich could have been dormant in either of us, or that I got it some other way?

Trich doesn't have to show symptoms. It would be wise for him to get tested.

Trich can be aquired from sex but also from things like a used towel, hot tub, toilet seat...pending that someone how had Trich used one of those.

My doctor gave me a refill so he is taking the meds starting monday. i have already finished my dose. do you know how long it is until the parasite is completely out of my body. i don't want to start having any type of sex until i know its gone. thanks for your help.

Most places recommend 1 week with no sex. So I would wait until the medication is finished by both people and then give it another day or two after that depending on how long the medication is for.

i just found out that i have chlamydia too i have already taken the meds for it and am just wondering if its the same time period before its fully gone. also i got fingered a couple nights ago and then he masturbated later that night before we knew i had it....is he in danger of getting it if he didnt have it before.
