How long does it last?
Doctor, I was tested a for the std a week after i belived i got infected and 5 days after the test found out it was positive for chlamydia. They gave me a single dose of azithromycin. I will be going home to visit 10 days from now and will probablybeing having sex with a partner there in about 11-12 days from when i was treated. I will definately make sure i use a condom but should I even have a slight worry that my partner will get infected, this is really concerning me. I don not want to take the chance of passing this off too anyone, seening that it will only be 11 or 12 days after my dose of azithromycin. Pleas let me know what you think i should do. Also is there any long term affects for this STD seeing that i found it so early from the time i was infected?
I was treated for chlamydia with the 1 gram dose 8 days ago and I'm worried I might have infected my gf. How effective is the azithromicin?
I need answers! :'( i was messing arnd with this guy about a mnth ago and just abt two or 3 days ago mon i should say he told me his ex was infected with chlamydia he had just founds out and so he said for me to get checked aswell to be on the safe side..now my question is i took the 4 pills but how long do the results ta.ke from the test??? The symptoms for claymedia are loads of discharge missed periods, or bleeding inbetween periods, discomfort during sex, and burning sensation when weeing if you have any off these symptoms get yourself checked even if you haven't got any and think you may have it get YOUR self checked before it does any damage :)
I was treated for chlamydia and I went back for another test and it came out negative but I have noticed I have a discharge that a little thick and smooth and had a little bit of an odor it's white, and when I have sex it hurts a little when my bf goes deep. What is the problem ??? I'm scared :/

I recently done a home test for chlamydia, it turned out a dark wine sort of colour. would you say this is positive.
If I do have chlamydia, would I be able to tell how long I have had it for, when i got it? I am guessing I might have got it about a year ago but it could also have been 3 years ago, will I know whether it was one year or three years ago?
Also, I have read all sorts of stories about how it affects your fertility. Do all types of chlamydia (if there are more than one) affect fertility and how long do you have to have chlamydia before it does affect your fertility. Thank you

I had a kiss and wank with a guy,then after three weeks he phone me and told me that he went to the doctor for a check up and his result shown that he had syphillis. I notice during my visit that his hands middle were all sore also his feet.Anyway i did`nt told my boyfriend straight away when he told me because i have`nt have any symptoms, but i made an appointment at the hospitol for a check up. When i got the result i was told that i infected by syphillis antibody.Then i told my boyfriend about it and he went really mad and panic.He did a blood test as well but there was no sign of syphillis.but we both got two penincellur antibiotic injections each.We both had sex after we got the injections and when we went back a week after for the next two antibiotics we told the doctor that we had sex and he said we should`nt.The next two injection we wait until six days before we had sex again.Do you think we are clear now?

I recently found out I have Chlamydia on the 20th of this month. I've had the same partner for 3yrs.Is it possible that I was infected from my previous partner 3yrs ago and did not know because my partner now is saying it is not him now I'm confused because my numbers were higher than his yet I have not had anyone else.
I am positive that I have just recently recieved chlamyidia. I have not been home to have sex with my partner in months and this was the only sexualy encounter I have had since then. It wasnt 5 days it was 7 or 8 days after the encounter that I tested positive and started seeing symptons 5 days after that which was today, the day the results came back. The woman that i was involved in wasn't the best choice for a sex partner to have unprotected sex with seeing she isn't the cleanest. Her and prior sex partners have been informed and will be tested tommorow. I apprecaite the help. I am still stressing about the Syphillis and HIV tests but i guess only time can tell with those.

Isn't just 2 or 3 days post exposure enough time for a chlamydia test? That is what I thought I read from you earlier in the year.

Thanks im dumnb, wasnt sure if you had a 100% chance with a condom unless it broke appreciate it. I guess all i can do is sit back and wait for the syphillis and HIV. Thanks for all the help.
From what I have read from the doctor here, 2 days is good for gonnorea. He is not sure about Chlamydia...borderline. 3 or 4 days is good for Chlamydia.

The dr has said chlamydia of the throat is rare. And anyway if you had at least one gram of azithromycin you would be cured by the time you see the other girl.
Did you use a condom when you caught it?...They are 100% effective against chlamydia unless the break or fall off.
It was too early for HIV and syph tests, but assuming your exposure was unprotected vaginal sex, the chnaces of one of those is exceedingly low.
Again, where a condom unless you are in a mutually monogomous relationship and have both been cleared of STD's prior to no longer using the condoms.

Just make sure you wear a condom no matter even if your 100 percent sure you are cured. Always wear a condom.
or transferring it at all in that case, im going home to see a girl in 12 days and im afraid after 12 days i might not be cured and might transmit even though i am using a condom, doc please answer ad tell me what would be the best decision to make here and what are my odds of not being cured of chlamydia 12days after my treatment.

I also read that chlamydia can be transmitted through oral sex and there are some cases of oral chlamydia, should i be concerned in transferring it orally after 2 weeks of taking my dose of azithromycin?
I think you will find it's a little early for hiv and syphillis testing. Although any negative test result is reassuring i am sure you will find the doc will say test at 6 weeks then you can be confident in the result accuracy. Good luck, although i am sure you will be perfectly fine.

I have felt a slight discomfort in the tip of my penis a very mild burning sensation and also seen a very little discharge as well that had been dried up.
