How long for penil discharge to go away?

by Oops18, Jul 18, 2009 11:09PM
Ok, so I had chlamydia once about 5 years ago, got treated and everything was good. I had an OOPS! about a month ago, (unprotected sex with a girl) and noticed some pain urinating, pain at the tip of my penis and now clear discharge. I went to the doctor and without testing, he gave my all three antiobiotics to treat chlamydia/ngu, gonorrhea and trich. In office they gave me one injection of Rocephin, and a prescription for Doxycycline and Flagyl. It's been 8 days since the Rocephin injection and starting the Doxy and 6 days since I started the Flagyl. Now my question is:       The pain urinating is less, maybe a tiny feeling, no more pain in the tip of penis, but I do still have a slight clear discharge, not much but a little, and it just feels like I am having discharge all the time but really does a little here and there, but the feeling like I am discharging is always there, constant. So my question is, When will the discharge actually subside and go away and the feeling too. Also is there anything else that I may have causing the discharge that my three meds will not treat successfully? My rocephin injection was in the right upper buttocks/hip is that correct?

Thanks for your answer in advance.

it's unfortunate that they just threw medication at you without doing any testing - that's just bad medicine :(

Since you are still having symptoms and it's been over a week since you started treatment, you should seek out guidance and testing from a medical provdier.

Well it's been 9 days for the first two meds and 6 for the flagyl, could it be that I have Trich and it's hasn't worked completely yet? Also, is it true that it can take up to two weeks for ALL discharge to go away no matter what I have (gon/chlam or trich) and I am just being inpatient?
