How soon can I test..

I received oral sex (I'm a male) from a female two days ago. I've been told by the wonderful experts here, HIV testing is not necessary. But how soon can I test for Gonorrhea, Syph and Chlymydia? I only received it a total of maybe 5 minutes, but I did have a small abrasion on my skin. She says she gets a full panel test very often, and I noticed no sores on her mouth/lips. Help be appreciated.

Don't worry about anything and just tell us tomorrow that your tests were negative.

Dr took my urine Monday, will get results tomorrow. Just curious, the color of the discharge in terms of Gon is usually yellow or green correct? I'm wearing blue underwear and noticed sort of a white stain, could be presemen, unsure. Whats odd is my testicle pain has subsided, and the burning when I urinate has always gone down in severity.

1 week at most through a normal Dr., usually shorter.

No discharge then. I'm getting the tests done today. For Gon, NGU, UTI, happen to know about how long results take to get them back? I'm probably having a urine culture done, I'd assume since theres no discharging. Thanks for all your help, by the way!

Discharge is something that would happen all the time anytime. You might notice it as a stain on underwear at first but it would get to the point where you would notice it at anytime.

Sorry, just one more question. I'm actually going to get a panel done (Gon, NGU, etc), but I'm just curious about discharge. Would it occur when I went to go to the bathroom? Like how does it most occur. Would I have the feeling that something was trying to get out? (Like painful drips?) I've been urinating fairly normally, only with more urgency. Could be due to a UTI or my current bladder issues.

I'm pretty sure its irritation, I'll have my doctor look at it for the heck of it.  I'm pretty sure I'm already infected with HSV-1 orally from childhood though. I'm fairly relaxed about it, just curious on your take since you're highly respected around here. I think what ails me is a possible UTI and simple irritation from the act/masturbation. I'll have the doctor look at the irritation, and if I still haven't experienced any discharge, I'll let the NGU, Gonnorhea idea rest. Seems like I've had these symptoms either right before the 'exposure' or literally right after, which to me seems like it was an irritation issue. Thanks for the help.

Its probably irritation, and not herpes, but its starting to seem as if you won't be able to relax about it without testing, so why not just test for peace of mind?

If you decide to do that, test once.  No need to keep getting tested.

Just thought I'd post what I've previously read

From Dr. Hook

"Regarding herpes.  Indeed genital herpes due to HSV-1 is occasionally spread through oral sex but when it does, the person giving the sex usually has a cold sore and the person who gets infection then develops the sores/lesions of herpes 4-6 days after the exposure.  If no symptoms in that time, no risk. "

Sorry, one more thing. I've noticed today, in my foreskin area I have a small red irritation (pink discoloration of skin under foreskin) - i'm circumsized. It's not raised, nor blistering, but does hurt. As I've said before the masturbation/oral was aggressive (in fact I masturbated yesterday minus lube and this is usually the area I tend to tech) so this might owe to it. My question is, when herpes (HSV-1) does come, does it present itself first as irritation then move to sores/blisters? I've searched the forums and noticed that Dr. Hook advised someone that if sores/lesions did not present itself within the initial 2-6 day period, chances are I wasn't infected. As auntiejessi stated, its not much of a concern, I'm just curious.

No, its not a concern.  If you want, get tested for hsv1, but it would be more about knowing your status than any real chance of genital herpes type 1.

One more question, in terms of getting HSV-1 from her. I did not notice any sores on her mouth/lips or tongue. Both my parents also get cold sores, I get canker sores (might be cold sores) in my mouth from time to time. Is this a major concern that she might've asymptomatically been shedding?

Thanks Vance. I'm thinking another thing as well. I take a med called Uroxatral (helps relax my bladder neck) for releasing a better flow of urine, I havent taken it in about a week and a half (need to get that prescription refilled). I'm thinking thats the issue!

Thanks for the help Vance. I should add that since (probably even before) the incident I've had burning urination, reduced urine output. But NO discharge since the incident, its day 4. I also have a bit of tenderness in my testicle, left one. However, I can contribute this possibly to many factors.

1. It was aggressive oral, and my penis has been sore ever since, skin even damaged in one place. (abrasion)
2. I did not ejaculate since, I feel very backed up, but my penis being sore, I haven't wanted to relieve myself.
3. I have a looong history of Bladder/UTI infections, I also consumed a whole lot of alcohol both nights before, contributing to dehydration I'm sure.
4. I've also had epididymytis before (in the same testicle), but not related to any sexual activity.

Think this has more to do with hydrating myself then an std, seeing as there's no discharge. My doctor told me theres almost always a discharge.

Gonorrhea-3-5 days for the most part but up to 30 days for gonorrhea, NGU-7-14 days and syphilis is 2-3 weeks i believe. But syphilis being as rare as it is...would not even worry about it.

Thanks for the help. Just curious, if/when do symptoms usually appear? I read 3-5 days after exposure. That right?

Yes I say the same thing as your Dr.

I didn't know her nor her history. My doctor said the same about the 90%. So I really shouldn't be too overly anxious about this should I? I live in the US also. Since you think it's unlikely, and as does my doctor (He said, if I experience any sort of discharge) then to come for a test, but otherwise he doesn't think its much to worry about it. Everyone I've spoken to pretty much has offered the same opinion, on my questions.

Chances are u didn't get anything. But Gonorrhea at 1 week, same with NGU and syphilis at 6 weeks-but syphilis is rare.
Gonorrhea in about 90% of men show symptoms and NGU always show symptoms.

Why are you so worried?
