I def have an STD - need help asap

Hi, I had sexual contact with a male I barely even knew(im female, 23). We didn't have intercourse but we were rubbing together without a condom. The next day i had itching in my inner vaginal area, and now its the 3rd day and its swollen & tight very similar to a yeast infection. But there isn't any discharge so i know its not a yeast infection.

Anyway today is friday so I can go to a walk-in-clinic. We have sexual health clinics but its not open until tuesday and im busy all weekend so if i dont go today, i wont have time until tuesday. Is it dangerous to wait this long?

Also i'm very embarrased and nervous. I wont know if i get a male or female doctor since im going to a walk-in, and also how will they test me? Will they just look down there and know what it is? Or will they take my blood? I\ve never done this before, I also DO NOT want to be tested for herpes. Can I tell them that or do they have to test me for everything?

They will test based on your history and description of symptoms, the appearance of the area, and the timeline you just mentioned.  Since the itch started the very next day it can't be herpes - the incubation period is a minimum of three days and usually closer to a week before symptoms are noticed.  Also thats too soon for chlamydia or gonorrhea to produce noticeable symptoms like that.

I'd say its most likely yeast, or it could be BV (bacterial vaginosis), both very easily treated.  Yeast starts out with an itch before you get to the discharge stage.

you can contract std's from naked outercourse but the risk of such is very low. no real reason to think that this is a std, more likely either a vaginitis that is unrelated or even just irritation from the friction of all the rubbing.

try not to obsess over it this weekend and if you are still itching next week, be seen. meanwhile do simple things like skip the undies whenever you are at home so you can get cool, drying air to your genital area plus it reduces additional friction on your sensitive genital skin. you can just wear a big sleep tee around the house and keep cool in this heat :)  also try a barrier cream like desitin, aquaphor etc to soothe the skin and protect it too.
