I have cervicitis

Last week on Thurs. I went to my OBGYN. I've had the following symptoms. Abdominal Inflamation (inflammation), some pain (mild) and a little ovary pain. I just recently got my period on 8/5, and bled again on 8/17. This also scared me and I decided to go to the Dr. Also, after having sex I bled. My partner was worried and told me that he feels zI had some type of inflamation (inflammation), since while having sex it hurt. Dr. please let me know from your experience with cervicitis from other patients: I have cervicitis with bleeding. I thought the bleeding was from the cervicitis but could it have been from the sex. Anyways, in two weeks I will have my results back. I was goven for now two medications, which I already started last Thurs, they are Fluconazole and Clindesse. Will that be enough? and if not is there a cure all the time. I've heard that it takes long to cure. Mines seems to be an old infection. I really never thought I had anything, I've only had bleeding recently. Now that I remember a few months ago, I had bleeding after my period too.
I've had sex on a couple of ocassions without protection, and that's why I am super scared. I've been separated for 1 1/2 yrs. Prior to marriage and during marriage I only had two partners. During marrige for 8 yrs. only my husband. This all happened after the separated. My main concern is that I get better. I'm very scared. I actualy thought at first that I had a fibroid. Should I get an ultrasounfd done. The OBGYN didn't say anything. She checked my abdomen. Now I have two little pimples that itched when they first came out. They are inside my vagina in the lip (left). Please let me know what to expect. Will I be ok?

Your partner should also be tested while you wait for your results.
Cervicitis can be caused by many things - chlamydia, gonorrhea, bacterial vaginosis, yeast, etc.
The meds you got will cure yeast and bacterial vaginosis, so I'm thinking your doc is assuming that's what you have. Since you don't know yet for sure, your partner can test while you wait.
I would avoid sex while you are using these meds, and until you get some results back.
Yes, cervicitis can be hard to treat, but if you can find the cause, its actually easy to treat.
