IgM and IgG tests negatives
My IgM and IgG results are both negative, but I read that IgM is not reliable. Is there still a probability that I might have contracted herpes ?

Did you ask the physician who ordered the test for his/her diagnosis?

What time frame did you test in? How long after possible exposure?
Also herpes questions should be posted in the herpes community.

Also, I didn't ask the physician: it was one of these quick 'anonymous' providers.
Sorry if I didn't post this in the right location... I'm new to this.

Disregard the IgM, and you'll have to test with the IgG again in a few months to find out if you got it.
I wouldn't be overly worried if you don't get symptoms, but if it makes you feel better, then test again.
