Irritatioin near the anus

I've never had a problem with my health before. Recently I have notice pimples near my vagina that look like pimples(white head with white discharge. Then a few days ago I felt irritation in two areas near my anus. I rubbed both areas when I inspected them, and they get quite sore. There are no visible bumps/lumps/sores...nothing. I know you cant forsure tell me if I have herpes, but before I work myself into a panic-is it possible that I am okay...or does it sound like I do infact have herpes.

Herpes indeed comes to mind, and I cannot provide any assurance you don't have it, and herpes often occurs near the anus.  But other causes are possible, so don't panic.

Assuming you don't have fresh lesions (intact pimple-like lesions or painful open sores) when you see your health care provider, you'll need a blood test for HSV-2.  Be sure the doctor does the right test; the only one currently on the market that accurately diagnoses HSV-2 is the HerpeSelect test by Focus Technologies.  It's especially imortant in a case like yours:  the other tests typically over-diagnose HSV-2, so a positive result is meaningless.

i wanted to add that I had sex with a new partner a few weeks ago..before him-it's been months.

sorry- I keep forgetting to add information...I'm obviously night in a great mindset. The last time I had sex( exactly two weeks ago) it was anal sex(no condom). All of my previous encounters were with the protection of condoms.
