Is it a wart?

I went to the Dr. for an std check and the results came out normal for syphilis/chlamydia/HIV and Gonorrhea.  However, prior to the exam and for about two weeks I've had a pea sized growth just beneath the skin b/w the anus and scrodom (about an inch from the anus).  I thought it was a wart but wouldn't that have shown on the blood tests? Do they not screen males for Warts? If it's not an STD what else could it be?

There is no blood test for warts, and there is no HPV test for men at all.

Did you point this out to your doctor?  If not, why not?  Your doctor can't read your mind.

It might be a cyst, and that would be more likely than a wart, as warts are on top of the skin, not under it.

In any case, you need to be seen for it.  Most of the time, cysts aren't anything serious, but they can be indicative of other things.
