Is it possible to contract herpes in this manner?

Is it possible to contract herpes in this manner:  your penis comes in contact with the buttocks of a woman who has herpes and you don't see any sores or rashes (just the skin on the surface; not the anus or between folds of the buttocks) ? If so, how likely is it that you could contract herpes in this manner?

Well, skin to skin is used too broadly many times.  What they mean is genital to genital or mouth to genital.

Its only from mucous membranes.

Sleep well,

I thought that it could be spread by skin to skin contact much like chicken-pox. If the virus is only shed at epithelial cells then I may sleep better tonight, but nonetheless, I'll have to wait for the blood test.

Oh but if you are basing this concern on your penis touching the woman's butt, then don't worry.  Herpes only sheds from mucous membranes, and the buttocks aren't mucous membranes.

I'm sure you are, but all you can do now is wait.

Have you read the herpes handbook?  www.westoverheights.com

Oh and by "it", I mean your penis touching her.

Its very unlikely if it was on her butt cheeks, and not in the crack.

I read some of your other posts - when do you get your herpes results back?
