Is that a Yeast Infection or Trich?

Hello-
For over a month now, Ive been experiencing a very slight itching and burning inside of my vagina. This burning is present when I urinate but not all the time. I also have a slight vaginal discharge and this is not all the time either, The discharge is white with no foul odor. When I first went to the clinic they told me that it most likely was a Yeast infection or Vaginitis. I was prescribed a Fluconazole tablet 150 mg to clear this out. On top of that I was also tested for CHlamydia and Gonorrhea eventhough the doctor told me that this was not an STD. The testes came back negative. Fluconazole did not help me because I was still experiencing those symptoms. When I called the clinic one more time, they told me I needed to go and see my gynecologist because they didnt know what to tell me. I went to another doctor and he first told me that it was an inflamation of an ovary and this was totally not something I was expecting to hear since I knew exactly how it felt having this  a few times, and I knew that this was not it. I was prescribed Doxycycline Hyclate which per Doctor was supposed to clear all the bacteria out if there was any in my vagina. This didnt help and a week after I went for another follow up with the same doctor, This time while he was examining me, because I was still showing those symptoms, he told me that he sees like it was a Yeast infection(that is for the second time I was diagnosed with this but with first time, Fluconazole didnt help) I was again prescribed a Metronidazole (4 tablets at once) and a vaginal cream terconazole. (a 3 day regime) After my second application of this cream I started to develop chills and a high fever and muscle aches. I called the doctor and he said that this was a side effect that he never saw before in anyone else. He told me to stop using this cream and to take only Probiotics(3 tablets a day for the first one week and then 2/day for the second and slowly go down to 1 tablet /day the following wweks). Its been 3 days since my taking Metronidazole(4 tablets at once) and I still have slight symptoms. Is it possible that I have something different other than Yeast? Like I said, I have no foul odor and a very little discharge not always present. and the itching is very slight inside of my vagina. No redness around my vulva. In addition the reason why  I told them to get tested for CHlamydia and  Gonorrhea was the fact that a little earlier before all my symptoms started, I had unprotected sex.
PLease help!! I am very desperate because nobody seems to know the answer to my problem and these two doctors seem to think that I have a Yeast infection while none of the meds designed for that seem to be working.

I agree there does seem to be a heck of a lot of guessing going on here  which is pretty much unacceptable by medical providers with something as simple as testing for vaginitis!

you've already treated for trich with the 1 time dose of flagyl that you took.

yes, feeling like you got run over by a bus is a common side effect of the flagyl dose also. it will get better!  you haven't had any alcohol have you?

at this point wait  2 or 3 weeks and if you still have symptoms, return again and insist on proper testing for yeast and bacterial infections vaginally.  No guessing - they must send off samples to the lab if they don't have the means to look for infection in their office.

best of luck!

Thanks for the comment. In fact the did do a pelvic examination but they didnt find nothing abnormal. I was told that with Trich there might be red ulcerations on the wall of your cervix which I didnt seem to have. I was not tested for Trich and also they did not swab me for Yeast. It was more like a guess.

did you ever get a swab test for yeast infection? or was it their guess?

you don't have chlamydia or gono due to you negative test results.

The small amount of discharge could be normal for you but we could tell you, since it is white it doesn't present a symptoms of an STD. Were you tested for Trich? if not perhaps you should test for that to make sure it isn't trich.

We can diagnose you, and if you're docs aren't testing you for what they are diagnosing you it is only making things worse as they are feeding you meds that aren't needed.

if you test negative for Trich then it isn't an STD that is causing this.

did they do a pelvic examine? did they see any thing abnormal?
