Is this an STD

Let me thank you in advace doc. After a weekend of intercourse with a female, some of it unprotected due to a broken condom, i found a pimple in my lower shaft close to my scrotum, about 35 hours later. the pimple was very hard and difficult to pop with my nail or a woodpick and it was right under a couple of pubic hair. During that day it was a bit a bit painful to touch also. I eventually popped it with a needle a day later, and grayish liquid that turn to blood came out, i also had a much tinier pimple, it may not have even been, near my pubic hair that i also popped, and the same liquids excreted. It later became red, and it never sour or cause any pain, although i may have a bit of itching every now and then in my pubic hair, which i believe is normal. it has been almost two weeks and i am not experiencing any other symptoms of herpes, which is my primary worry, but d small pimple has disappered and the larger one is appearing like a light reddish pimple that has heal, but d scars still remain. Unfortunately, i can't see a doctor for another 3 weeks, do you think it is herpes or any STD, i am very is possible an STD, since this happen soon after sex.

Sounds like a garden-variety pimple or folliculitis, probably only a conicidence that it started after the sexual exposure you describe.  STDs don't generally present with pimple-like lesions (even herpes rarely causes a single lesion in the location you describe); and no STD can show up within 36 hours.

Good luck--  HHH, MD

thank you doc for the service. It has been 15 days now and its barely visible and i notice pubic hair growing on the point where i popped it. is that normal for folliculitis or should i go get tested? is six week the ideal time to get tested?

To: the Doctor
please will you help me??

I donated blood in 11th grade and months later when i erceieved a letter from Red Cross i read that i tested positive for a certain HIV antibody test.  I freaked out.  I immediately wen to the hospital and got restested.  My father called me while i was at school with the results.  he said that the tests were negative, but that if i had unprotected sex or used any needles in the past 6 months then it might be wrong.  I did not, so i saw myself in the clear.

Now, i am in college and when i was a 1st year i donated blood again.  This time i get another letter, this time saying that i was HIV negative, but that i had hepatitis.  My father and i called the place and they said that since i am overweight that might explain why i get these false-positives.  Does that make ANY sense???

BTW, i've never had any unprotected sex with anyone until very recently, so i don't know how i could have contracted anything.
