Is this herpes or sphylis

by SW6, Oct 08, 2009 08:28AM

Hello

August 15 2009 I had unprotected sex with a female, by Sept 1st I noticed a bigger then usual pimple/boil looking thing on the shaft of my penis. It was just 1 pimple/boil. I didn't even know it was there until I looked at it and noticed it while I was taking a pee.

- no discharge
- no pain
- no flu like symptoms
- no discomfort

I went and got it checked by a doctor and she said it was nothing to worry about and that it wasn't herpes. This was September 7th. I noticed this infected area on Sept 1st and I had drained it (popped the pimple/boil, white pus drained follwed by a tiny bit of blood) on the 1st, by the time I got to the docs on the 7th it was the size of a mosquito bite. Now a month later there is a very small scar where it used to be, like a spec, perhaps because I used tweezers to pop the puss head?

The reason for concern now Oct 8th is because I can feel it tingle every once in awhile. What is this?, the doctor told me it was a pimple but do pimples have tingling sensations especially a month after?

Do boils have tingling sensations?

Do I need to worry?

Was I miss diagnosed?

Is it herpes or another STD?

Is it even STD related?

Overall the answer to your questions are I don't know. You would relally need to follow up with your Dr.

Anyone else?

What kind of answer do you want? Are you looking for a diagnosis over the internet not with professional Dr's?

A Dr already told you that is it nothing to worry about. And now your asking about boils having a tilgling sensation, and do you need to worry and were you misdiagnosed? How is anyone here going to know that? Only a Dr is going to be able to really tell you anything with an exam.

At this point obviously you are concerned about std's. Have you been tested yet for any of them to know your status?

Grace:

I just came back from my doctors. She didn't seem to worried about it but she went and gave me some forms to have my blood drawn and to be tested for HIV and Sphylis

I was not trying to be a jerk, just didn't know what you were looking for since a Dr has already examined you.
