Itchy Red Bumps on Shaft?

I havent had sex in 5 months. For the first time ever I have a few little red bumps on the shaft of my penis just before the head. There is no pain at all. If I masturbate it itches worse. It is not a painful itch at all. It feels good when scratch like when someone scratches your back. Is this possibly herpes?

It could be warts, a fungal infection, dermatitis, an allergic reaction.

You should get them checked.  If a doc isn't sure about hpv, he can biopsy one of the spots and find out.

Ever find out what the problem was?  I'm having the same problem with itchy red bumps, but they're tiny, and not just one or two, but all over the head of my penis and a little down my shaft around my foreskin...  I've had ONE little HPV bump (but the doctor wasn't sure if it was HPV or not) but it didn't itch like these do.

What the heck are they?

Possibly, but you'd have to go and get a test to be sure.
