Lap dance- 2 kisses and bite through clothing

Doctor:

First, thanks for all of the good work you do.  Many men sleep better at night due to you!

I had a lap dance last night and am now, of course, terrified and highly remorseful.

In all, the two times the dancer gently bit my penis through my shorts and boxer shorts.  She also briefly kissed me gently on the lips two times with no tongue and grinded on me through shorts.  She did not have any noticeable sores on her lips or mouth.  I did not touch her vagina at all nor did she touch my penis.

I have gotten cold sores a few times per year for at least the past 15 years so I likely have HSV1 already.  In reading your previous posts, I understand that there is no STD risk from contact through clothing nor is there a HSV1 risk since you can't get "reinfected" with that.  I am now concerned about getting HSV2 from this contact.  Is this possible?  Should I be concerned about this contact?  Again...thanks!

Oh and you could ONLY get it orally.  She did nothing to expose you to any genital infections at all.

But for your information - if you have oral herpes type 1, and give someone genital herpes from oral sex, that person would have genital herpes type 1, not 2.  The number indicates the strain of the virus, not the location of the infection.

It makes no difference for this situation, as you are at NO RISK at all, but I wanted to clarify that.

Hi there -

If she kissed you on the mouth, and not on your bare genitals, the only thing you could get is hsv1, and you already have that.  You really have nothing to worry about.

Really.  You are overreacting here.

Thanks so much.

Sorry to belabor but you said that "no bodily fluids" were exchanged.  She did kiss me briefly twice and I think one time my mouth was very slightly open.  Is it possible that her saliva (on the remote chance she transferred same) could have infected me?  Is this possible or does this change your opinion?

Even if her saliva did get on me, what is my worse case scenario.  As stated above, I do get cold sores so I am sure I already have HPSV1.  Could this even give me HPSV2 or does it have to be sexual contact?

This was the first time I had been to a club for 3 years...and now I remember why!

Thank you, thank you, thank you.....

Hi there -

There is absolutely no risk here.  No body fluids were exchanged, and you weren't even unclothed.

Perhaps you need to not go to strip clubs if they cause this anxiety and guilt.
