Length of symptoms

I have been diagnosed with chlamydia and I got treated. I talked to my boyfriend about this and he swears he has not been with anyone else for over a yr. He has never had any symptoms but is now going to get checked. Is it possible he contracted this over a yr. ago and just didn't know it and Im the one that found it? Can it last in your system that long without knowing?

we recommend treating the partner too just to err on the side of caution.

Yes, my partner got tested and he came back with a negative.  This is SO unexplainable with mine being positive. His Dr.wont treat him because he is negative even tho I was positive.  Even if mine was a false positive which Im thinking that's what it has to be but shouldnt he still be treated since I was treated just to be on the safe side?

hard to tell at this point if you've had chlamydia for awhile and mistreated it as yeast or if it's a newly acquired infection for you.

did your partner get tested yet?

had both of you gotten tested before you started having sex?

I was having some different symptoms, like some burning and itching so I went to get a pap and my PA didn't see anything at that time, I kept getting recurrent yeast infections and finally couldnt take it anymore so I went back to her. She said I did have a horrible yeast infection and BV so she was going to treat me for both, then she asked if I wanted to check for chlamydia and I said, sure why not, thinking there was no way. She called the next day and treated me for that too.

you tried to post to someone else's post on the expert forum which is against forum rules.  Your post was moved here instead.

did you have active symptoms that led you to go and be seen and get tested or was your chlamydia detected on a pap test?
