Likelyhood of exoposure/ Rash in groin area

Hi Dr

I am scared shitless. I thought that handjobs and fingering were considered safe sex.

I have visited a massage parlour 3 times in the last 3 weeks. I also have a rash which I developed and I have gone to see a dermatologist and he sais that it is a fungal infection and not herpes or any other std.

Please tell me if you consider these events as a likey cause of getting infected

1st time (beginning of month)
I received a handjob from a fully clothed woman. nothing more.

2nd time (week later)
I received a handjob from a girl and I massaged her vagina through her undies

I then started getting the rash and I thought nothing of it as it is very hot and I thought it would be a heat rash.

3rd time (last week)
i received a handjob and I fingered her vagina with no undies. I just fingered her on the clitoris and did not put my finger inside her vagina.I had no visual cuts on my fingers.

I have looked on the web and I seem to think that I have Intertrigo. I have also got an STD test for Herpes and Syphyllis, although I don

I stand by my original reply.  Re-read it.  Your rash has nothing to do with your fingering events, as the dermatologist undoubteldy told you.  I have no further advice or comments.

Hi Dr

I went back to the dermatolgist today 26 July to evaluate the rash between my groin and thigh which he said was a fungal infection. I have been on antifungal pills for a week now and the rash seems to have improved a bit. The Dr sais that it takes about 15 to 20 days to clear properly. My blood test for HSV1 and HSV2 were negative and Syhyllis also negative.

Just to recap the rash only started after my second encounter with the girl that I got a handjob from 10th July . The blood tests that I got were taken  10 days after this encounter 20th July. Therfore I could not have gotten herpes or syphyllis as the tests say negative yet I still have the rash.

My question is . The blood tests were only taken 3 days after the 3rd and last encounter which was the 17th July  which included me fingering her. So am I right to say that the blood test would not be able to pick up an infection from this 3rd and last encounter, even though I have not had any other symptoms beside the fungal rash in my groin.

You already have as much "just to be sure" documention that is needed; testing at 6 weeks would be a waste of money.  But it's fine with me; it's your (or your insurance company's) money.

As far as turning back the clock, I say get a grip.  If this is the riskiest thing you do in life, things are going to be pretty dull for you.  A hand job in a massage parlor doesn't even register on a risk scale of 1 to 10.

Hi Dr

Thanks for your comments.I guess it is just the psycological effect of not knowing for sure whether or not one has been infected or not. I can

I stopped reading after the first 3 sentences.  You could not have acquired an STD from handjobs and fingering, and therefore any rash you have could not have been sexually acquired during your massage parlor adventures.  And you have seen a dermatologist who told you it isn't an STD.

Now I have read the rest of your question.  It does not change my opinion.  You do not need STD testing. Stop trying to figure out what you have online-- confirm with the dermatologist!
