Dr.

I had a brief encounter with a woman 10 yrs ago  -less than 2 second penetration and removal due to lack of condom.  Never really noticed anything.  Been monogamous with another woman since (who had never been with anyone).  A few weeks ago I had itching and 'tenderness' in the groin.  Then noted redness around tip of penis. The woman I am with mentioned that she had yeast infection.  Is it possible to have yeast infection for a male - and what are symptoms.

I noticed that upon erection the tip was like a sunburn peel (skin cracking type thing).  Went to Dr who gave me a cream/steroidal.  Also, notice very small drops of pee bead up after urination and the feeling like I am not 'finished' .  Prostate exam and PSA were fine.
Could it be anything else?

Sounds like yeast to me, and yes its possible that you got this from your current partner.

After 10 years, you don't have to worry about the other encounter.

Thanks for the response.

I have read about all of these 'silent' std's and just kept wondering if maybe I had one and was passing back and forth currently.  The Dr. I saw didn't seem overly concerned and said part of the red area looked like herpetic lesion but it was not tender or sore at all so he thought it probably wasn't.  Given the description of the encounter what would be chances of std anyway -if such a thing could be answered.  Thanks

Its very unlikely it was an std.  It could be just irritation or something.  If its persisting, follow up with your doctor.
