Male yeast possibility?

A while ago my partner was given antibiotics from her go for some sort of infection but he told her that the male doesn't have to be treated. My worry was he wasn't clear what it was she was being treated for. She was given Metranidazole which is for bacterial infections, I thought it was either BV or something similar. I know woman get thrush from time to time, so don't think it was that.

Anyway since i've noticed a mild but dull pain in my testes, jelly like substance leaking from penis was passing stools, only once but odd. There is the odd mild stinging pain in my urethra that passes, mainly at the tip. Ive had Chlamydia in the past but was treated. I also have a drip no matter how much I shake after urinating. The other day I had a strange vibrating coming from the prostate area. Also what looks like lichen planus on my penis tip, it does seem to be clearing itself now but other symptoms although not causing major pain still there.

I know the obvious thing is to go to get it checked out, but why would I not be treated at the time my parter had this mystery bacterial infection? Surely most bacteria can be passed and I need to be treated to be safe.

Thanks for advice

As long as both were treated then that should not be a worry

Sorry you misunderstood, prior to my gf having BV we both tested positive for chlamydia, I had noticable symptoms within a month of our first sexual encounter.

I see no reason that you would have gotten chlamydia.

Vance, I self medicated for Chlamydia with an online service. Is there anyway that that infection would have cleared but potentially already spread to my prostate, so wouldn't respond to one tablet (doxycycline)?

Well if it was BV then you would not have gotten it, so no reason for treatment.
