Mild itching and redness about 24 hours after sex

It seems a common theme here, but I went to a strip club 4 days ago and ended up having sex with a dancer for about 5 min, 4 of which was protected.  The condom broke and I finished.

The next day I felt a very mild itch at the tip of my penis, though it is not sensitive to the touch.  Yesterday I noticed the head was red, in kind of a splotchy manner.  I have no pains urinating, nor any discharge.  To be honest, when my mind is not thinking about my infidelity, I don't even notice the itch, which makes me think it is all mental.  Additionally, my penis just stays flaccid, unless I make an effort to arouse myself.  If I do, I have a pain free erection.

I plan on getting tested, but wanted to know what for.  After looking up on the web, some signs point to a male yeast infection.  I would certainly hope this is the case, or at least something else treatable, as I am way more concerned with the effect on my marriage rather than my health.

You are in the clear. The residual discomfort you have is from the swab, perhaps amplified a bit by your guilt.  No reason for STD concnern.  Take care.  EWH

The doc here at the student center did a urethra culture and said he normally wouldn't, but because I was married and there was a concern for my spouse, a syphillis blood test.  This was yesterday afternoon

Called today and all results negative, which i am relieved.  I still have a mild discomfort in my urethra, but not while urinating.  Is it possible this is still just irritation from the culture.  If so, if it persists, when should I go see the doc again about possible NGU, though at this point I think I am in the clear.  thanks again for all of your help.

No, there is nothing to suggest this is herpes.  Let us know what your tests show.  I predict they will be negative.  EWH

Also, I know you mentioned it before, but is there anything I've said, now that it has been a week that suggests Herpes?

Thanks.

I am getting tested tomorrow.  I still have the mild urethra irritation.  It still does not bother me when I urinate.  Is it possible to have a UTI, without burning during urination?  Thanks.  I'll let you know what I hear tomorrow.

To Rickyricker:

If you have a quesiton you must start your own thread, not jump someone else's.  Continuuing to attempt to jump this thread will result in your being banned from the site.

To Embarrassedhusband:

I suspect you are imagining things. Sometimes after an exposure that, in retrospect, one wishes they had not had, persons tend to examine themselves and be far more attuned to genital sensations than in periods when they are not concerned.  This in turns leads to noticing what turn out to be normal sensations that might have been not noticed or ignored at other times.  Perhaps this is a major contributor to your situation.  EWH

It seems most of the symptoms seem to be gone, though will reappear occasionally if my mind thinks about it.  Is it possible I had a small bruise on the hear, which made part of the head seem red as opposed to normal because the bruise was a bit darker.  If so, would this cause mild discomfort, but no issues with peeing or burning anywhre.

Or am I just imagining things?  Thanks.

I would consider anxeity/regret/guilt as a possible contributor.  Clearly this is still very much on your mind.  You need to move on.  EWH

One more thing.  I looked again at the white dot and I think it is just dry skin.  However, my penis seems like it is staying extremely flaccid.  Can this be explained by my anxiety/ regret?  I would think so, as I haven't really seen this as a symptom anywhere.  thanks.

That is certainly a relief.  I have probably looked at ond focused on my genitals more in the last 48 hours than in the previous couple of decades.

As for the dots, after looking further, it is just one, there and looks the same as others I have noticed through the years.  I was being paranoid and now have a little more piece of mind.  Thanks for your help.

Welcome to the Forum.  Your risk from this exposure is low.  Most women, even commercial sex workers, do not have STDs and if they do, transmission is unlikely to occur following a single exposure, particularly if it was partially protected.

The penis is a highly vascular structure and, as a result, redness is not uncommon although it is typically not noticed unless persons are paying close attention.  As for itching, this is one of those symptoms which is more likely to be be related to your focus on your genitals following an exposure that you probably wish you hadn't had than anything else.

While yeast can cause patchy redness of the skin, including the penis, I doubt that the redness you are noticing is due to your exposure.  Yeast is not an STD.

The two "dots" you describe may be glands.  Whatever they are, I doubt that they are related to your recent exposure.

When you get checked, the major problems of concern following unprotected sex with a new partner are gonorrhea, chlamydia and NGU.

Hope this helps.  EWH

I just noticed a small white dot or 2 dots at the underside base of the penis head.  Is there any hope it is unrelated?
