Mirena

by tonytouch27, Jun 08, 2009 05:57PM
My fiance had the mirena placed in December '08 and  she experienced some major bleeding and discomfort, so we could not have intercourse. We had intercouse a couple of months ago and I had a small cut on the tip of my penis from the string of the mirena. The next few days I started to have some discharge not heavy and not constant. I am taking antibiotics for a bacteria that caused me to have severe acne on my back. Does the mirena and the fact that she has developed a yeast infection have something to do with my discharge?

This is not an std situation.  Post your question in the Birth Control forum. Someone there should be able to answer your question.

Hi,
My fiance has the same prob after we have intercourse. He will swell and little scrapes are all around the head.  We never had the problem before Mirena. Our son was born in Sept. and we got it Nov.  still having the problem  it is getting to be more of a nuisance with more cuts and he is so very sensitive to where we barely have sex anymore.  I believe i am going to have to see a doc and cut the string a lot more.... he is uncircumcised but getting circumcised is out of the question read a lot of bad things about doing that when older. Dont know what else to do rather than get it removed :) Hope this helps a little
