Misdiagnosed warts?

by marly250, Mar 22, 2008 11:49PM
About a month ago or so, i went to the student health center at my college. I had noticed a few bumps near the opening of my vagina, that popped out a little more once i shaved. (After a little while they would go back down to their normal size) I asked the nurse? to look at my bumps, she took a light, took one look and said they are warts. Naturally i flipped out. I made an apt. with my new gyno to get them frozen off. He gave me a look over and said he wasnt convinced. He suggested they could be skin tags, but to make sure we could freeze them off. I came back in 2 weeks and he said he saw nothing on me that looked like a wart. ??? Idk who to believe? They are tiny raised bumps that are still there, which looked exactly the same when he saw them. My question is, who should I believe? Is it possible to just be bumpy down there? Due to sex or what not?

This discussion is related to Can I assume a Misdiagnosis and that the doctor was just trying to rip me off?.

Why not ask your gyn to biopsy one of them and send it off to the lab for indentification?

I agree - a biopsy is the best way to know for sure.
