My wife has itching

by TerriblySorry, Apr 26, 2009 11:10AM
I am a fool.

I got a massage with oil that ended in protected sex.  I showered immediately afterward and tried to wash my genitals well.  When I got home I took another shower (thinking that I didn't get all the oil off my scrotum, and thinking that my scrotum and base of penis had direct contact with her vagina).  I also took a handful of germ-X and rub it all over my genital area.

Later that same day my wife wanted to have sex.  We did.

Three weeks later my wife tells me she has itching and probably a yeast infection.  She bought a self yeast infection kit.  She commented to me that if I ever brought home an STD I'd be in big trouble.  I acted natural and the moment passed.

Now I am an absolute WRECK!!!  I am obsessing about this.

To make matters worse, my wife just had her once in a lifetime physical exam, blood tests, and everything (age 45) just a few weeks before this incident.  So her blood test will not serve for this exposure.

I have come to this website looking for answers.  I have decided that I can't really do anything until an incubation period has passed.  I am considering taking a 7 panel urine STD test where I mail the urine to a lab--confidential results.

Mr. Wizard get me out of this PLEEEEAAAAASE!

Please give me your advice.

your feelings of guilt are of no importance BUT what is; the fact that you had safe sex.

if your sexual encounter was truly safe (with a condom at all times and it was secure throughout)...your sexual encounter was safe and you are subject to the % listed on the condom box (apprx 98% effective...which is pretty darn safe).

now if you did other activities and/or if you had oral sex, then you are at risk for gonoherra/clymadia, and herpes.

Thanks for your response.  I am liking your answer so far but I am still concerned about two things.  First, my wife's itching.  I read that the incubation period for chlamydia is 3 weeks and that was exactly when she complained of itching.  Second, I am concerned that that base of my penis (not covered by my longish penis) which also had massage oil on it, may have retained some virus or bacteria that I transferred to my wife but that did not infect me.

Could you please comment directly about this?

Thanks so much.

One more detail for you to consider.  She masturbated herself and also touched my scrotum (and penis but the condom was on).  I also finger penetrated her while I was wearing the condom but I don't think I touched myself.  We did not kiss or have oral sex.

Thanks.

Do not worry about a STD, you had protected sex, really no risk. Everything else you are talking about is not a risk.
