I haven't been tested for HEP b&c, or gut infection & am worried i could have one of these. Here is a copy and past of my exposure I have posted in the HIV. Have I met all the window periods for std's??? How can you be so sure about these window periods any ways?? Im sure some people take longer to test because thats just how life works out correctCorrect (new formula)?
Hello I will try to keep this short but I really need help, I really feel depressed about the whole situation and I’m kind of loosing my mind. I’m a 22-year-old male in good health, I don’t do drugs. I party a lot though and drink often on the weekends and smoke weed and chew tobacco.
I have a girlfriend now and I told her about the encounter (didn’t say she was a prostitute but what ever). We have been waiting to have sex but last night nearly had sex but I don’t want to put her in harms way.
Here is my testing schedule:
2 weeks @ Planned Parenthood I did rapid HIV 1 test (Unigold) & std’s. Everything came up negative.
4 weeks @ Planned Parenthood rapid HIV 1 test (Unigold) – Negative
6 weeks @ Planned Parenthood rapid HIV 1 test (Unigold) – Negative
8 weeks @ Planned Parenthood rapid HIV 1 test (Unigold) – Negative
10 weeks I said F*ck PPhood I don’t trust them. So I went to San Francisco City Clinic and I did there RNA test which they say looks for the HIV in the body as soon as 9-12days and they did and ELISA test and full STD test everything came up negative.
12 weeks @ Planned Parenthood rapid HIV 1 test (Unigold) – Negative
15 weeks I decided I wanted to go through my own Doctor office (nice/expensive place) and they did an ELISA HIV test and full STD test including herpes everything came up NEGATIVE Except the oral herpes (not the genital herpes) but I already knew that as I get could sores a couple times a year.
17 weeks (4.2 months) - so then I was convinced that I had HIV 2 since none of these test covered that so I did the ORAQUICK test which covers HIV 1&2 and that came up negative.
Symptoms – I really have had 0 symptoms, nothing on my penis, no ARS. Just a bit of diarrhea and a common cold. I also got a sinus infection a few weeks ago and am on Antibiotics for that but I don’t think any of this is related. Here is the encounter. I was in Mexico in a high travel tourist spot on August 1st. I had a sex with a female prostitute. I had unprotected Anal, Oral, and Vaginal sex with her. And to top things off and make it worse I think she was on her period because I saw blood on my penis after and we were is some bushes wich I’m thinking makes it more likely to get cuts and stuff. I realize most women including sex workers don’t have HIV but for practical purposes lets assume she does.

You have certainly tested more than you needed . While your contact was risky , your testing show you are STD free. Just for completeness you may want to have an RPR and an ALT ans AST tests which will screen for syphilis and Hepatitis respectively. Relax you are fine ,really. Take care.
Thank you so much for your help!! One thing I want to mention is I did take a hep a test and that it was negative.
Also one thing I am concerned about is that before teh STD's test I never waited to pee before them and always ate drink/before. I hear you supposed to wait and hold it, but I never did... I say this because a guy in the HIV expert forum came up negative for chlamydia once when he didn't wait to pee, and the a couple weeks later he held it like he should have, and he was then positive... This worry's me, I cont think I've had any symptoms, would I have??
please re-read as i did do std testing, ill just copy and paste to make it easier for you :)... Also what is NGU??? and should I have waited to pee before my chlamydia test like I asked in the follow up response to dallasfans answer????

How long had it been since your previous urination to when you gave your sample? If it had been at least an hour, you are fine.
At 10 and 15 weeks, all your tests are conclusive, and you don't need to test again.
NGU is a non-specific infection in the urethra. If they had you pee in a cup, they would look for white blood cells in your urine to determine if you have NGU. You might call the clinic and ask if they did that.
If they did, and you still have symptoms, you should follow up with your doctor.
its ok if you missed it I did write a lot lol! And as far not peeing one hour before, I'm not sure I may have I might have not. I can't remember I dont think im the type of person to pee all the time... And also would that affect any of the other test they did by urine?? And I dont think I've had any symptoms my pee like kinda burned once or twice a few weeks later but it didnt really hurt much so i dont know if it's the burning they describe under the symptoms.
So do you think i'm in the clear?? should i do hep b and c?
Hep C is rarely transmitted sexually, so I see no reason to test for that.
You can test for Hep B, and I'd talk to your doctor about finding out if you've been vaccinated already for it (the test will show whether or not you have).
Peeing too soon before can affect a gonorrhea, chlamydia and NGU test, but I wouldn't worry about it. You've gone awhile with no symptoms, and if the burning you had with urination was caused by an std, that wouldn't have stopped.
If having unprotected sex is the norm for you, you should really consider using condoms.
are you sure i dont need to be tested again?? im going to go in again today and ask my doctor what he thinks. but as long as i dont pee for one hour before ill be ok?? what about eating/drinking??
thanks buddy, I'm gonna go do another one just to be extra sure even though I know I'm fine... Better to know and get it taken care of then spread something :), thanks!!!
Yes, and after this test, you need to stop testing. You've already had more than enough tests. I understand wanting to make sure the tests were accurate, but after this, you can move on.

You should be tested for gonorrhea, NGU, chlamydia, syphilis and herpes.
Since its been so long, all of your tests would be accurate now, and you wouldn't need any re-testing.
We know window periods from years and years of studies.
For your herpes test, make sure its a type specific IgG herpes blood test.
