Need Relief

About 6 months ago i had unprotected sex for the first time.  I have since been to two doctors a General Practice and an urologist and have been tested for STD's.  Both doctors and the test results said I had nothing in the way of STD's.  I still however have an irritated area around my penis.  It is often slightly sticky and moist.  The opening of my urethra usually looks red.  I have heard read that Herpes may never present any symptoms.  I just would like to know what these symptoms are coming from.  It is just irritation from being sweaty, I work out often, or is there some underlying problem that is causing this.

If you are going to see a Dr I would say let him/her examine you and trust what they have to say.

I will definitely have my doctor look into that test... we are pretty close as he is a friend of the family.  If it does not sound like herpes any other suggestions??

If its been at least 4 months from the exposure, they are very accurate.  If its before that, you can't rely on it just yet.

Your symptoms don't sound like herpes, though.

Have you tested for herpes?  Ask your doctor for a type specific IgG herpes blood test.  This doesn't sound like herpes, but at least you'll be able to mark it off the list.

Has anyone done a prostate exam?  Have they suggested maybe its fungal?
