Even if you did have hsv2, it wouldn't cause an odor but why not get tested to see if you even have to be worried about transmission at this point?
Frankly I'm appalled that your provider didn't ask you to come in and be seen and get some proper testing done. I'd make an appointment for further evaluation for this odor.
I do already have an appointment and I went to the EmergencyEmergency airway puncture Emergency contraception room yesterday for unusual bleeding. the found nothing except a cyst on ovary.

I recommend getting properly tested. I fyou have bv, it actually increases your risk of contracting your husband's herpes. Have you been tested recently to see what your own hsv2 status is? Does your husband take daily suppressive therapy to reduce your risk?
