Dear Aj

Thankyou for your continous support. Well, doctor told my wife that she has very mild PID (Pelvic Inflammatory Disease), and said that this is very common in married womens. Doctor suggested a medicine, but also said that it is not necessary to take that. She is already negative for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea. What could be the reason of this PID.

Should i need to be checked for this or my antibiotics have finished the issue also ?

Depending on the testing done, gonorrhea will grow on a culture.  I'm not sure what your doctor meant by that.

But you don't have to worry about those - if your wife doesn't have them, then you don't.  The meds you've been on would have cured them several times over by now.

Dear Aj

Thankyou for your response. Well, i have a urine culture and it came back "No Bacteria growth". About the ""chlamydia bacteria grows"; actually you mentioned this in your first response and i want to ask the meaning of this.

Doctor has given me ofloxacin for 2 weeks (Already Finished) and now Cefixime for 3 weeks.

I asked the doctor to test me for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea, and he also said the same that if your wife is negative for these both: you also dont have these. In any case, he said that Chlamydia bacteria grows in a normal culture and Gonorrhea doesnt grows. Is it true ?

Please advise ?

I'm confused - did you test positive for chlamydia?  I don't see how that's possible - if your wife is negative, and she's the only one you've ever been with, you can't have chlamydia.  I'm not sure what you meant by "chlamydia bacteria grows."

In any case, the cefixime would have cured gonorrhea.  The ofloxacin would cure chlamydia.

When people take medications they don't need (and you clearly needed these meds), their bodies can develop a resistance to it, meaning when they need it, their bodies won't respond the way it should, and the infection won't be cured.

Since you have been having kidney issues, that could be the cause of your feelings in your penis.  Let your doctor know.

Thanks Aj for your response. Well, i have some sensation on the tip of my pennis from last 1.5 months. I was also having kidney stone in the mean time and now some tiny concretions in my bladder. Doctor have put me on a four week course of Cefixime (400 mg). I am taking medicine but my symptoms goes and comes back. I have also taken Ofloxin on a doctor advice for one week.

My wife is negative for Gonorrhea and Chlamydia, and i have never any sexual contact with anyone before marriage. Doctors havd done a Urine RE and Urine culture and both came negative. He said, Chlamydia bacteria grows : so he ruled out the possibility and he also  said that i have no visible symptoms of Gonorrhea.

I dont understand what you mean by this" taking meds you don't need is how resistance develops".

Please advise!

Have you actually tested?  I can't tell you to self treat - its not good for you, or for others - taking meds you don't need is how resistance develops.

I can tell you cefexime is for gonorrhea, and doxy and azith are for chlamydia, but you'd need certain doses and courses of each.

Again - if you have symptoms of something, you really need to test.
