Needtostopnow

Ok here goes 10 weeks ago I had protected oral and protected sex 3 days later got a strange felling in my fremulum and got a bit worried so went to gum clinic and got tested for gonorrhea and claumidia witch both come back negative this was nine days after exposer.these symptons continued for about 3 weeks so I started reading one of dr hooks forums were he said some times we focus to much when we are worried so I decided just to forget it and the symptons went and I thougth that was the end of the ordeal. Then a couple of weeks later while in the bath I noticed a singal spot at the top of my pubic line witch I pooped a little pus and blood come out witch starting my mind racing again.now it's been 10 weeks a for the last two weeks my tounge has had a white coating on and I get this random tingling in my mouth and constant head aches.ive also been on the free forums and had advice from Vance and teak who told me no risk stop worrying.my question to you dr is should I worry about the timing of any of these symptons?and if I were your patient what would you advise? Also I am a married man and have had unprotective sex with my wife once since this happend on the advice from the gum clinic who said it was safe and every time she coughs or gets a ramdom twinge I keep asking if she's ok witch I getting on her nerves.thanks in advance drs and I'm sorry for my bad spelling.

"I keep reading how comdoms some times come with minute small holes."

That's an urban myth.  Latex or polyurethane condoms do not have pores or holes that allow STDs or HIV to pass.

8 weeks is far too late for onset of ARS.  Symptoms always start within 2-3 weeks.

If you are tempted to ask still more "what if", "yes but", or "I just thought of something else" questions:  DON'T.   There is no information you can provide that would change my opinions or advice.  Suck it up and move on --and if you can't, re-read the last paragraph of my reply above.

Thanks for the quick response dr I know every thing you say makes perfect sense and I know it's not possible for me to catch these std wearing a comdom but I keep reading how comdoms some times come with minute small holes and I can't stop thinking about my symptons .dr may I just ask you a couple of quick questions then I won't bother you any more. Does the time scale ie 8 weeks when I started getting sore throat white tounge and general aches and pains in arms and legs and random bouts of fatigue and burning tounge even fit in with ars symptons? And this tiny holes in comdoms I keep reading about on the web have you ever come a gross this in all your years of experience ? Sorry to go on dr

Welcome to the forum.

You have had accurate advice and repeated reassurance about your exposure, both on MedHelp's community forums and from a GUM clinic. Your symptoms have nothing to do with your protected sexual exposure 10 weeks ago, except to the extent that anxiety over that event explains much of what you are experiencing.  Your exposure indeed was zero risk and your negatiive tests at the GUM clinc are 100% reliable.

"should I worry about the timing of any of these symptons?"  No; see above.

"if I were your patient what would you advise?"  To have no further STD testing, stop worrying, stop searching the internet about STD symptoms etc, and continue sex with your wife without worry.

"every time [my wife] coughs or gets a ramdom twinge I keep asking if she's ok witch I getting on her nerves."  As well it should.  No STD causes symptoms like cough or "twinges", and it is impossible her symptoms have anything to do with your outside sexual exposure.

My final advice is that if you find yourself continue to worry about all this despite the repeated, science-based reassurance you have had from several sources, I would suggest you consider professional counseling.  It is not normal to remain so concerned in a situation like this.

Best wishes--  HHH, MD
