hi a papPap smear Pap smears and cervical cancer smear can detect if she has HPV or not. If her papPap smear Pap smears and cervical cancer shows an abnormal papPap smear Pap smears and cervical cancer and HPV was positive then they would futher want to test her for genital warts and cancerious HPV. but dr's do not test for genital warts automatically unless they are visible and external. Sometimes warts do not show up until months after being exposed to unprotected sex (it can also be transmitted by direct skin to skin contact).
So if she did not have a pap smear, she should like every women should have annually. It is possible you could have a wart due to having sex with her becuz it shows up after months even and the testing was months ago. She might want to go in to check for warts. Also, your bump could also be just a papule of some kind which is common for men. So compare your bump to the images online to see if it is indeed warts.
Just some info, if it turns out you and your gf has genital warts/HPV, dont be so alarmed becuz HPV is so common nowadays and genital warts causes no harm at all, just mainly an inconvenience. Of course before anything, you and ur gf would have to test to see if the virus is cancerous (high risk) which would be the more harmful kind. good luck.
Thanks for the comments. She did go in to be tested for HPV and all stds. The tests came back, saying negative for warts but that she does need to be looked at later on for some wierd hpv cells, to check for cancer. Can they be wrong in their testing and sayin that she doesnt have the hpv wart virus?
well since they said she has some HPV cells, we don't know if its the strain that causes warts or not until her 2nd check up which will probably be a colposcopy. What i'm guessing happened here is that she has no visible signs of warts yet and you might have shown a sign. she may grow warts later or never at all.
