Nocturnal Discharge

I posted a question on 12/3 under title "Anxious and Concerned". I explained how I was experiencing myriad symptoms despite negative test results at 3 and 6 weeks. Dr. Hook, you responded with a reassuring asnswer, and I will take your advice and stope testing at try to move on. Most have the symptoms have disappeared. The discomfort at the head of the penis in the location of the white dot still returns on occasion, but I am still knotted over one last symptom. In the past 3 weeks I am certain of having at least three nocturnal discharges that I am aware of. There could possibly have been others that have gone unnoticed. OK, I understand that I'm negative per the test results, so what could possibly be casuing these discharges? I can't identify the fluid -- I haven't seen it myself but can confirm the discharges from sensations of wetness and corresponding light stains on night clothes and sleeping surface. Please advise, I'm trying to avoid visiting a practice or a clinic about my situation as to keep my personal identity off the books about this -- I'm concerned about someone who knows us learning of what happened. Thanks again.

monkeyflower -- Thanks for your thoughtful response. I'm going through a difficult time right now and I'm having trouble separating what is stress and what is normal. I can only remember one time in my adult life having a wet dream -- and that was obvious to me. The discharges that I'm sure that I am suddenly having are not occurring at times of arousal, they occur at night when I'm awake and can't sleep. It is true however, that I've been abstinent through this time, so your assessment looks very sound. Thanks again.

My guess would be this 'nocturnal discharge' is a result of nocturnal erections. Nocturnal erections are normal and healthy and may or may not be associated with arousal. Depending on the amount of fluid, it might be pre-ejaculate, or it might be semen. Ejaculation, i.e. a wet dream, is more likely to happen if you aren't ejaculating much during your waking hours. I'm not a doctor, but this sounds perfectly normal to me.

Doctor -- I did post my concern about the discharges as a follow-up to my previous question and didn't recieve a reply to that follow-up. It's there in my folllow up to 12/3 "Anxious and Confused". That's why I posted again. I'm 100% sure I've now had at least 3 discharges, the evidence is there. My question is -- if not an STD, like my test results suggest, what might be causing this? Also, can tests from an online place like tstd.org be trusted?

Thanks
