One more last question, I promise

Hello again Doc.

One last question...

I received my tests, and as you said, they were negative (Syph., Gon., Chlam)  But I mentioned to you that I have had a pain in my left groin area.  Not a sharp pain, but a dull ache.  Sometimes I forget it is there, then other times I can definetly feel it.  I can't tell if any of the pain is coming from my left teste, it mainly feels like it is coming from just to the left of my penus.  I examined my teste, and nothing seems abnormal and it doesn't seem abnormally tender.  Do you have any idea what this could be, or what I should do?  I am an avid weight lifter, and I kind of worried about a hernia, but it didn't come on quick.  I noticed it when I haven't even lifted for 3 days.  Anyway, could it possibly be a urninary tract infection?  Could stress create pain down there?  Any advice would be helpful.

I think I speak for many on this forum...

What you are doing is truly a class act.  Not many doctors are willing to donate their time and expertise to answer questions and provide free education on health to the public.  Especially a doctor with credentials as amazing as your.  I truly appreciate all that you do.  I have learned so much through your answers and the archives of answers you have provided.  Stay well and god bless you.

Thanks for the compliment.

That kind of pain almost certainly isn't due to any STD or a UTI.  Most likely musculoskeletal.  Also, as I have said many times on this board, whenever a patient him/herself suggests a symptom is due to stress or anxiety, it probably is.  I wouldn't worry about it.

Good luck--  HHH, MD
