Hi everyone. I'm an 18 year old male, and I'm very concerned whether or not I have oral herpes. Here are some of my syptoms; on monday (march 19th), my upper right gum started to have a LOT of pain. i figured it was just not from flossing often. as i continued to floss, it still never got better. Then around yesterday afternoon (Wednesday, march 21st), i noticed that on the front of my tongue, there appeared to be these little white bumps. as the day progressed, there were some white bumps on the side(s) of my tongue. The look like little white heads. As a child, i always used to get cancar sores from my retainers *just thought i should add that in there*. anyway, this is only on the tip/FRONT of my tongue...and it hurts/burns. I'm very concerned bc NOTHING like this has happened to me before.
currently, i have a boyfriend and we have had unprotected/protected intercourse as well as unprotected oral. i last saw him on sunday (march 18th) and we just did oral. he says that he has no stds and things like that -- bc he has had blood tests done since he's in the medical program. so IF this is oral herpes, I HAVE NO IDEA where i would've gotten it from. I know my 2 ex's were perfectly clean as well and i never had any of these sypmptoms with them.
If this helps too, on tuesday, i had made some food in the oven, set at 380 degrees. when iwent to eat it, i didnt let it cool off long enough and the food BURNT my tongue. I was asking one of my friends who is knowledgeable about some of these things if what i have now is a result of burning my tongue. He also asked me if i had recently had a change in my diet -- with a lot of potassium & sugars. On wednesday MORNING, i had a major intake of jelly beans (which i don't normally eat often). So i'm not sure WHAT i have and WHAT to do...
your input/advice is GREATLY appreciated!!!!!!
Thank you,
-Italo
