Oral Sex, Mutual Masturbation and HPV

Hi, I'm a 21 years old gay male. I had a mutual masturbation session with a guy. We masturbated for each other.

I wonder what is the risk of getting any STDs with that (notably warts)?

Also, what is the rish of giving and receiving oral sex? When should one get tested for STDs after giving/receiving oral sex?

Thanks!

Ohh thanks! I meant "masturbating each other".

As you said "Even if you masturbated each other, using just your hands, there is no risk of stds, including HPV", how about if we exchanged hands? (For example, he masturbated before masturbating my genital? Would there be any chances of getting HPV?)

Oh I should add that when receiving oral, you could get genital hsv1 from someone's oral herpes 1 infection.  The chance of this is lower if someone doesn't have any oral cold sores, but it can happen.

If you happen to have hsv1 already, just avoid receiving oral sex from someone who has a visible cold sore, and you probably won't ever get it genitally.

Hi there -

Assuming you meant you masturbated yourself in front of him, there is no risk of any std, inlcuding HPV.

Even if you masturbated each other, using just your hands, there is no risk of stds, including HPV.

The only stds you are at risk for with oral are gonorrhea and syphilis.  You can get either of those orally, from giving oral, or genitally, from receiving oral.  When you get tested, make sure they do an oral swab and a urine test for gonorrhea.  Syphilis is a blood test, so that will find it if you have it anywhere.  You can find syphilis on a blood test usually in a month to 6 weeks, and gonorrhea can be found at a week.
