PLEASE help!!!! I think I have an STD! No one will help me!

okay so a little over a week ago i started to experience a little kinda flaky/cottage cheesy whiteish discharge...it then turned to a light greenish yellow. it itched really bad on my vagina...almost to where i couldn't take it and would cry because the itching was so intense. the discharge really had no bad odor...so i assumed it was a yeast infection. so i bought a one time insertion called Vagistat. well, i inserted it that night and prayed everything would go away (this was last saturday..now 7 days ago). well...the discharge went from greenish to a yellowish almost to a white...but its thick. still no smell really. but now i kind of burn down there, not when i pee...but when i'm just sitting around doing nothing. it actually doesn't burn when i pee. i have to wear pantyliners. I am FREAKING out because planned parenthood wants to see me in a month, i can't wait that long! so my friend gave me Doxycycline. I took 200 mg yesterday and will take one today (just in case its gonorrhea or chlamydia). I do have some uncomftorable feelings in my lower abdomen also...i'm so scared i'm like 99.99% sure this is an STD...does it sound like one or does it sound like a cronic yeast infection? because I am prone to yeast infections. thanks so much and sorry for the long post.

I think you should go to another clinic that will give you the results faster.  I know what it's like to have to wait for results and it can take a toll on your health.  The sooner you receive the results, the quicker you'll be able to take care of the problem.  There are many medications available for STDs so try to stay as calm as you can.  You did the right thing with going to a clinic.

It is not a yeast infection.  And the doxycycline is not going to do anything for you at taking it that way.  We do not advise on self-medicating.  You should wait for planned parenthood or get to a doctor.  Treating what you have with the wrong antibiotics can cause it to be resistant and then you may have a more difficult time curing it.
