Pain?

by zapper158, Nov 11, 2009 08:34AM
Recently I had unprotected sex, and went to get testesd for Clamydia (chlamydia) and gnororrhea the day after I had the sex....both tests came back negative...I have no sores and no white discharge, but they gave me zithromycen (4 pills) and a shot for gnorrrhea....I feel fine except my penis hurts a little....Does this mean anything?  I'm getting tested on Saturday for everything else?

Thanks

Well your tests 1 day after would not have picked up any new infections, but the medication would have cured eitther/both of those.

I see no need to test for those and your pain is unrelated to a STD.

Thanks Vance....I'm so stressed I can hardly breath, I feel like something is still wrong....I did have a burning sensation when urinating last Thursday, that's why I went to an urgent care....today I have a slight tingling sensation on the penis, but no buring during urination anymore....my penis feels like it's been through the war....My primary doctor last night said If I wanted to he would prescribe Doxycycline if I had any buring sensation again?  Should i get it, just to be safe?  I had the sex one week ago tonite?  Am I just being impatient?  I'm so scared I have another STD or HIV?

I would not recommend getting and taking Doxy right now. If you get discharge then yes, but other then that no real reason.

Other STD's would be herpes and syphilis. Syphilis is rare in developed countries and herpes...well without an out break from your partner then I would not worry.

HIV is possible but the risk is low if you were with a woman. If you were with a man then testing is recommended.

Thanks for all your help Vance, I really apprecaite it....1 last question....It was with another guy, but it was quick, and I did not cum inside....would this make a diffirence in HIV?  And no anal sex with me, only with him.....

Also, would the tingling and pain in the penis be asscoaited with HIV? or is it just sore because of maybe a slight irritation or small bacteria infection....

I'm getting all the tests on Saturday, but the doc recommended testing again in 9 weeks since it was so soon...

I do sincerely apprecaite you answering all these questions....

Tingling would not be associated with HIV. A test at 9 weeks would be a good indication, 3 months is conclusive. A test now is a waste of time and money. Ejaculation would make no difference. Any further HIV questions please post in the HIV community.

I would recommend also syphilis testing.
