Pass an STD to my baby?

Is it possible to pass an STD (gon, chlam, etc) to my baby from changing diapers? I'm typically vigilant with washing my hands but could have slipped up when sleep deprived. It sounds like a theoretical route, but is it realistic? I'm wondering if I went to the bathroom and got something on my hands, forgot to wash hands, then changed a diaper (wiped her privates with wipe, etc)..could that be a route of transmission for my baby? There doesn't seem to be any documented cases on the web but I'm worried..

You won't easily transmit a std to your child thru changing diapers. As long as you are washing your hands after using the toilet or touching yourself intimately , you are fine.

Hard not to worry eh?
