Penis discomfort, could it be an STD?

Dear Doctor,
Here is my situation. I am a person who does not believe in premarital sexual relationship. So now I have not had intercourse before. I am circumcised, 28 years old man.
I couldn’t write all I wanted in one post so please do read the reply below as a continuation so you get the whole picture. Thanx.
My story starts 5 - 6 weeks ago. I went to a massage therapist where I have been offered a hand job which unfortunately I have accepted that. During which both of us were naked. No insertions were performed. No oral sex was performed. I did NOT see her playing with her vagina during that time. She did rub my penis on her tummy and my penis touched her thighs as well. While she was giving me the handjob (just after ejaculation) I think I have felt an irritation discomfort on the head of the penis, I think it was on the left side.
I cannot remember if that day I had discomfort or not, but most probably not.
Next day, around the 24 hours mark (maybe less). I noticed irritation on the head of my penis, on the left side of the head. If I remember correctly the irritation (i kind of describe as ?? nerve sensitivity but lets call it irritation) was more of a continuous nature. No discharge from the penis. No burning sensation while urinating. No blisters or rashes.

I contacted a urologist online who did not seem too concerned about it and said its mostly an injury/trauma/abrasion and things should settle down.

A week or so later I was a bit too stressed out so I went a proper massage. A day or two later I have noticed that my sensitivity/irritation has become more of nerve sensitivity and I used to feel it down mu left buttock and left leg. I thought its most probably a muscle stretch after the massage or something and I preformed some stretches which did help. But the penis head (left side irritation persisted).

I have taken for a period of 10 days Advil 400 mg twice a day at the suggestion of the online urologist to try to reduce the inflammatory process.

You didn't have sex.  STDs are not transmitted by hand-genital contact.  Therefore, something other than STD is the cause of any and all symptoms you have.  It's that simple.  And in any case, no STD causes the kinds of symptoms you describe.

1) If anything, the persistence of symptoms is additional evidence against STD.

2) This forum doesn't speculate about causes of symptoms other than STD.  But my best guess is that this is entirely psychological.

3) No.

4) Nothing here seems serious from a medical standpoint.

Dear Dr. Handsfield.

Thank you so much for your help. Again I did not mean to sound like I am doubting the other Doctors opinion, not at all. I am settling down in a new town and its taking ages to get a GP. Thats why I am being extra cautious.

Thank you for taking the time to answer my post.

Regards,

Dear Doctor,

Thank you for taking the time to review my previous posts and questions. To the contrary I did accept his opinion but I had to clarify few things thats all. I open this question because of the concerns I have. I which I asked  Urologist about my symptoms.

Here is a summary:
- Massage Parlor gives me a hand job. no insertion was made, no oral sex, no touching of her genitals was done infront of me. Penis rubbed on her other parts of her body. Mild irritation was noted while she was rubbing after ejaculation on the left side of penis
- I develop a penis discomfort/irritation on the left side of the head of penis. First week or so it was daily. No discharge, No rash, No blisters, No burning while urinating.
- Symptoms started to wax and wane. 2-3 days of reduced or no symptoms and 3 days of aggravated or present symptoms.
- 10 days ago intense episode of irritation that lasted for a day responding to advil. Some redness was noted as well that was reduced by taking advil. The following day had symptoms but less. Noted that prior to this episode I have masturbated twice.
- Noted that masturbation and penis rubbing ..etc aggravate symptoms.
- Had a couple of episodes of fatigue and tiredness, but change in weather was noted in these days.
- Took Advil 400 twice a day for around 10 days.

Current status 6 weeks post handjob incident:
- On an off symptoms of left penis head (and left base of head) irritation/discomfort, with sometimes a feeling of inflammation. But not discharge or burning with urination. No blisters.
- I take advil when I have irritation only.

Questions:
My questions:
1- I was told previously that this most probably isn't an STD, but now with the lasting of my symptoms could this suggest STD?
2- If this is basically an abrasion/trauma somewhere, is it normal for it to last this long?
3- Can symptoms  of STD wax and wane like mine?
4- Do you think it is serious?

Thanx

On cursory scan, it appears this question primarily repeats all the concerns and questions from your thread 5 weeks ago, in which it was clear that no STD explains your symptoms.  Dr. Hook terminated that thread because you were having trouble accepting his opinion and advice that no STD explains your symptoms.

In addition, you have gone way over the 2,000 character limit (about 400 words) required for new questions, which must be written within the original question frame without spilling into a comment window.  In fact, 1,000 characters almost always is sufficient.

Please re-write your question using fewer than 2,000 characters and strictly eliminate any questions that were covered in your August thread.  Then I will respond.  However, you should expect a brief reply that probably will not differ from Dr. Hook's opinion and advice.

This is a continuation to whats written above.

During the past 3 weeks. My irritation has become a more of an on and off kind of irritation. I can have two days with absolutely no irritation and another 3-4 days with irritation.

I have tried to narrow down the causative or aggravating factors of this irritation. All I have noticed is that masturbation/rubbing penis while in bed ..etc almost always are followed by irritation on the next day or the day after.

Two weekends ago, I was feeling better so I masturbated twice (no oil or lube was used to avoid irritants and masturbation was very gentle to avoid trauma). During which I have noticed myself to be over sensitive and ejaculated quite quickly for my norm. I was abit concerned that I may have had serious nerve damage so next night I played with myself abit till I got fully erected just to see if there was any "erection issues". What I am trying to say it that weekend I might have over done it with my penis (since it was really healed). A day later I suffer from intense irritation on the penis while I am at work. I kind of noticed that the penis might have been abit red. I took my advil and it seemed to have settled it down >80%. The next day I had some irritation. but not as bad as the previous day. Took less advil. Third and Fourth days were great without any irritation. Then on the fifth day I have played with my penis again to multiple erections but without masturbation (trying to avoid irritations) and felt the sensitivity return on the spot so I stopped.

Sometimes my irritation discomfort come with discomfort on the left testicle but no pain. Occasionally (e.g. after masturbation episodes on the first day or two) I feel inflamed but the irritation is still only on the left side of the head of just under the left side of the head.

Tylenol does not help alot because of the lack of anti inflammatory capability (but Advil does, especially during the post masturbation irritation). I have also tried taking vitamin B complex (just in case there was a nerve damage) but did not take it for more than 10 days or so since the online urologist said there is no benefit from taking it.

I have had a couple of episodes of fatigue and tiredness, but it happened during the periods with weather changes.

I am really sorry I have written such a long post/question. I am quite concerned and since I have moved in to a new town I am yet to setup my personal doctor.

My questions:
1- Is it possible that I have caught an STD? Does my symptoms fit any of the diseases?
2- Is it possible that I may have some other infection?
3- If it is trauma/abrasion/injury is it normal for it to take such a long time to heal?
4- Is what I have serious?

Thanx
