Please advise

Hello. I would be grateful of your advice. 27th Dec I had a sexual encounter with a female. Protected vaginal only for a minute or so and unprotected oral both ways. A day or so later I felt my penis was moist and slight clear discharge inside the urethra. Went to clinic and confirmed I had White cells and nsu. I was given azithromycin to take which I did. Swabs were taken and all stds came back as negative. I was still getting symptoms so went back to clinic. Dr took swab and said no sign of infection and all clear of STD. Female I had encounter with also got checked and was negative for all STD. I was still getting symptoms so went back again and was checked by another Dr. He swabbed and said no sign of infection. I left it for a week or so but was still feeling my urethra had clear liquid in it and when I looked inside I could see liquid. Also stickiness of penis head through day and on morning. I went to GP who checked my urine which was normal and gave me 10 days of tremathoprim anti biotics. They have not cleared it. What could it be? I am very concerned. I appreciate you advice. Many thanks.

Hi

Thanks for the email.  Please re-read what Aelly told you I completey agree.

And  I'll post what I sent you here and respond to your email so others can read up on things.  Also I quickly saw that you asked an Expert on these forums; you should really believe them on what they advice, because remember I am not a physican.

You asked what it could be --you were diagnosed.  It was NGU/NGU or urinary tract infection, in this case probably NOT just casused by the single event on Dec 17th, but may encounters that increased your risk for NGU (In the states we call NSU, an NGU).   It is caused by the many sexual acts they include: unprotected receptive oral sex or performing anal sex or even unprotected vaginal sex.   The bacteria in the mouth is not the same bacteria in the urethra and can cause irritation.   Your symptoms of guilt seem to be driving you to worry about this too much, in time you should be completely back to normal.   You should have protected sex with your girlfriend until you are 100% again.    If I were you I would abstain from sex altogether for a while.

You were properly treated and  should give it another months or so to clear up.  If it doesn't clear up by the end of Feb, you should seek a specialist.

Alley is correct in that: clear discharge is completely normal, even a good sign that you have a functional prostate.   Also don't milk your penis, because when you do that, "Sticky clear liqued like 'pre cum' " will come out.

You were thoroughly checked out and there are no signs of infection in the urethra. It is normal for males to have clear discharges from their penis once and a while. It does not mean it is std related, it is just a normal charge. But still, you were told you do not have any infection and or std and the girl you had the exposure is further proof you do not need to worry about this.
