Please help, need some answers since my doctor seems airheaded.

So about 2 months ago, at a bar i met this guy. We ended up making out and he gave me a handjob. While giving me a handjob he wet his thumb once with saliva and then rubbed the head of my penis(Im thinking he did this on purpose).

a week and a half passed and ended up getting a cold sore. I asked him if he was aware of any cold sores he had in the past and said no...i didnt believe him and was quite skeptical since ive never had any cold sores or been with anyone else recently at that time.  About a week after that he told me he got an outbreak of herpes (what a ****** surprise) and said i was right. Like the many unlucky people that are out there, i happen to be handed this idiot who knew exactly what he was doing. With my perception and experience now i think he wanted to do it on purpose because he thought i would stay with him. What a douche.

At that time itching was present in my groin area, the sides between my thigh and genitals, and under my penis. There was no rash, no bumps. To this day i have the itching, and doesnt seem to subside. At one point, i shaved and ended up getting a rash that itched...and what seemed to be razor rash(doctor agreed). 2 small red bumps that itched also appeared in that area about a week and half after, but dissapeared in about 2-3 days.

The itching does not stop and it is frankly annoying. My question is, is it possible to have contracted hsv genitally? There has been about two ocurrences where in the shaft of my penis, towards the middle, i feel a sharp almost needlelike pinch/pressure inside. Really sharp pain im guessing in the urnary tract that runs through the penis?

It hasnt burned when i pass urine or no bumps have showed up while the itching is present.
Its been two months, and the itching comes and goes. It stops for 2 days, then comes back and doesnt stop for a week. etc. etc. Sometimes i get a headache and body ache, but i think it may be stress related?

Since then, ive gotten about 3 cold sores in the time span of 2 months. I went to the doc to get std tested, negative on everything.
I recently did the HSV antibody test and awaiting the results. Pretty sure it will come out positive since what i think i had on my lips were cold sores even though they were minor.
My question is:
How will i ever know is i have hsv 1 genitally if im showing no physical actual symptoms. Were the two bumps symptoms or shaving related?
Any other input on the information above would be greatly appreciated.

This discussion is related to Anal itch, herpes?.

Unfortunately, you will never know if you have HSV1 genitally if you do not develop any physical symptoms down there. Most people have HSV1 - even if they never get a cold sore. However, HSV1 is rarely transmitted to the genitals (especially based on the scenario you described). It is possible - but not very likely. If the bumps you had were symptoms of herpes, they would have likely appeared on the area his saliva came in contact with - not on your thigh. The bumps you had could have very well be related to shaving. Ingrown hairs, infected hair follicles, and pimples are very common in the pubic area - especially for those who do manscaping. And razor burn will certainly causes itching and a rash. In my opinion, you have not gotten HSV1 on your genitals.
