Please help

I have allready written a question to you in regards to this topic but i feel you need somemore info.  I am married and my husband and I went through a rough time in the past five months during those five months i became involved with this good friend of mine.  At the time we had many conversations about std's since I tend to worry he told me everything is allright with him ( everyone else says the same thing )  So I really have no new knowledge that he has anything or has lied to me.  Since then my husband and i have gotten back together he knows everything about my relationship with this other person he says also that i have nothing to worry about I quess I am just really scared.  The bump i found was really small smaller then a pimple it literally showed up overnight.  My husband and I had intercourse that same night also.  So could this have happened from that?  I also did the whole vineger thing nothing turned white that I could see.  Please help

I wish I could help more, but it just isn't possible without seeing the "bump" or examining you.  I can tell you that no STD ever shows up overnight; it takes a few days for many infections, and warts take several weeks.  I suggest you return to your doctor an tell him/her the story.  If s/he finds a normal exam, sleep easy.

By the way, nobody should be attempting to self-diagnose warts with vinegar.  It's a lousy test even in the hands of an expert who knows how to do it; when done on a person by him/herself, the results are meaningless whether white spots show up or not.

Good luck--  HHH, MD
